Everyone loves to spend New Years Eve out at a fun place to be. There are some great places to celebrate on this special day. The best of which often depends on personal taste and sometimes going to the best place isn’t a possibility for everyone but here is what the countdown came up with for the 6 best places to be.
Most people are accustomed to watching the ball drop on New Year’s Eve but in Atlanta they do things a little differently. Instead of having the ball drop they watch the giant peach drop until midnight. They even have a carnival atmosphere with real carnival rides and everything. Live bands play too for extra fun while you wait. It is held every year in Atlanta’s downtown area known as “Atlanta’s Underground”. It’s six-blocks of shopping and entertainment area in downtown Atlanta.

With all of the fun things that this city is known for, most people don’t really think of it for New Year’s Eve but they do know how to have a great time at a party so you may want to consider it next time. They have a fireworks display that lasts 15 minutes every year. This all takes place in Jackson Square where their 8-foot tall ball drops. The fleur-de-lis symbol is prominently displayed on it to show Big Easy pride.

Going to the Aloha Tower on Oahu or in several other cities in the state is a great way to ring in the New Year. They have a big fireworks display for all to see. The beach lights up, the colors of the fireworks reflect in the water and the beauty of it all amazes everyone. It is quite the experience. If your favorite part of the night is the fireworks than this is definitely where you want to be. They have the largest display in the entire world on New Year’s Eve. While it may only be the second largest celebration of the day it is second to none with their spectacular fireworks show. Considering that it is up to a 4 million dollar show, it should rank the best. They have other events and fun to fill the day as well.

Time Square in New York City might be the most well known place to spend New Year’s Eve even though it only rates as number 2. Every year they have a huge celebration where more people than you could imagine stand for hours in the cold watching the huge show and watching the ball slowly drop until midnight. The ball is 12 feet and it glitters. This ball stands out! It is advised that to avoid so many people you could go to a restaurant that you can see the square from to watch.

As it turns out, Las Vegas is the number one New Year’s Eve Destination. When the clock strikes 6, all cars are no longer permitted anywhere on the strip. It fills with people and they all drink, party and watch rooftop fireworks displays as the party gets started. With a sea of people all having the time of their lives for 6 straight hours, it couldn’t be better and the hotels have special treats for this special day as well.
