The Immortus – World’s first solar-powered sports car to be launched soon this year

1 The Immortus
The Immortus is under development. It is a half tonne 40 kW electric sports car, can carry two people, and have a room for hand luggage. This car will run all day using solar energy. It will generate its own power through 7 sq m of solar panels located on the upper part of the vehicle. It also comprises of a lithium battery to store energy.
The solar panel and the battery combined will allow the car to run at an average speed of 85km/h. If the condition is sunny, the inbuilt solar panel will allow you to drive the vehicle at an average speed of 60km/h.

2 Where did The Immortus concept come from?
The Immortus is the brainchild of a new electric vehicle start-up EVX and currently under development. The company is partnering with a team of researchers from the Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne and they are making the best possible effort to complete the project as soon as possible. The launch of The Immortus will put an end to battery charging problems or power concerns. This makes The Immortus a car of practically infinite endurance.

4 When can you expect to get this car?
Currently, the company has not announced a production time frame. The company decided to come with limited cars, approximately 100 units, which will cost around $370,000. According to the CEO of EVA, Barry Nguyen, they are not looking for mass production as it would require a large amount of money.
