Wuhan Is Getting Ready To Start A New Life After The Lockdown
Currently, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases is over 1 million. The death toll is over 70,000 and the total recovered is 270,000. This pandemic started back in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. Now the virus has spread across the world infecting over 1 million people. Wuhan was the first to issue a lockdown to protect its people and now most countries have adopted this form of protecting its people from the spread.
Now, after two months Wuhan is finally ready to lift their lockdown and try to get things back as they used to be.
1Where it all began
It all began in December of 2019 right here in Wuhan where the epidemic of a new coronavirus disease originated. The Huanan seafood wholesale market is a live animal and seafood market in the Jianghan District is now known to be the source of the disease. There is no proper evidence to support it but scientists believe it to be a possible point of origin.
2Locked down since late January
Wuhan and other Hubei cities have been under lockdown since late January 2020 because of the pandemic. This became the epicenter and the government tried to close it off as soon as possible to stop the spread of the virus. Now after 2 months the city is finally opening up and the lockdown is being lifted.
3 Can’t go back to normal
The lockdown on Wuhan will be lifted but everything can’t just go back to the way they were overnight. It will still take time for life to get back to normal as the government has asked the citizens to not crowd certain areas and to still maintain social distancing while in public.
4Some things are back to normal
With the lockdown about to be lifted this means that trains and planes are running and so are buses. But, the government has asked the people to stay at home and only venture out if needed. The coronavirus situation is still not over even in Wuhan as new cases are coming to light.
5New coronavirus cases
Right now in Wuhan new cases of the coronavirus are emerging but these cases are asymptomatic which means that they are positive cases but the patients show no symptoms of the virus. With this fear in mind, the government has asked people to not crowd in places and maintain a safe distance.
