Walking isn’t the only thing we do fast when we get stressed. It also affects the way we behave with people. When stressed you will notice you get more irritable. You will walk fast, talk fast and want people to respond fast. These are all signs of stress which should not go unnoticed. You should try to calm yourself down and take a breath.
7We try to multitask
The biggest problem we create for ourselves which brings about even more stress is our need to multitask. We live in a world where we want everything done at once which is not a good thing. This leads us to multitask our work which is exhausting which results in even more stress.
8Multitasking is not wrong
There is nothing wrong with multitasking as long as you can handle it and it does not cause you unnecessary stress. Try not to overload yourself as it will be bad for no one else but you. We try our best to meet the deadline while trying to do other things. Multitasking is good if it is used properly and does not overstress our body and mind.
9We need to calm our bodies down
Now you know why people who walk fast are unhappy. They are stressed and only care about going from point A to point B. They do not care about the journey but only the destination. This is not how we should live our lives. We need to care about our journey and how we get to places. This applies to everything from actual travel to our daily work.
10How does this apply to work?
If we’re given an assignment and we only care about completing it within the deadline then we won’t do it as well as we should. Our only motive will be to complete it and we could end up making a few mistakes that will ruin our impression and cause us more stress. But, if we focus on how we complete our work then we can do it better and avoid mistakes.
