A 17-Year-Old Has Created A Website That Includes All Data About Coronavirus and Millions Are Now Using It
4His website is being visited by millions of people
Avi says he thought it would be cool to have a website which could feature all information from different sources. Speaking in an interview he said “I mainly wanted to create something that would show the data as accurately as possible because there has been a lot of misinformation. I’m always adding new features. It’s going to adapt as it goes along. In the future, it might be less interesting to know there are five cases in France. We might be more interested in knowing the percentage increase from last week to this week.”
5The website provides users up-to-date information about the coronavirus
Avi says that when people spot anything inaccurate, they message him about it. Once when there was a massive bug, it went and doubled the numbers of the virus cases and he suddenly started receiving hundreds of messages but that has been resolved and the website runs beautifully. He says he has done a great job of maintaining his server.
6His website includes those who have recovered as well to show a perfect idea of the situation
Avi cross-references all his information about the virus from different but reliable sources. The coronavirus is such that it is likely to spread further because of the habit of people to travel around the world. This is what is helping to spread it so rapidly. Another factor adding to the problem is that this is a new strain of the coronavirus which means the human body has not encountered it before. Currently, there are no vaccines for it as yet.
7Avi still spends up to 6 hours each day perfecting his website
While some experts and medical analysts are trying to predict the spread of the virus giving rise to more alarm and panic instead, the Doctors Association of UK was reported to have said that this was not easy to so. There are possibilities that new mutations may develop. However, countries are trying out everything by developing contingency plans to tackle the virus which now everyone is taking quite seriously.
