6 Ways to keep your phone screen scratch free without breaking it
Technology has given us touch screen phones with extremely delicate touch screens. Most of us use a screen protector to keep the screen from having any scratches. But due to keeping the phone in pockets along with keys and coins, you are bound to have some scratches on the phone screen. You might even get some scratches thanks to it slipping from your hands and giving the pavement a kiss.
You can use expensive creams and solutions to remove the scratches, if you don’t use a screen protector, or you can use these 6 tips to keep your phone screen scratch free without doing any extra damage to it.
1 Baking Soda
Another kitchen all-rounder is baking soda and it is also a great thing to remove scratches from the mobile phone screen. You need to mix baking soda and water and make a thick paste out of it. Now take a cotton swab or tip of cloth and dip it in the paste and gently rub the whole screen of the phone. You need to do it slowly and carefully. Then wipe it off using a damp cloth and your screen will be as good as new.
Surprisingly, toothpaste is a multipurpose product that does more than just keeping our teeth white and mouth fresh. It is apparently a brilliant way to keep your phone’s screen scratch free. All you have to do is use a bit of paste on the corner of a soft cloth and rub it nicely all over the screen. Be careful of doing the rubbing in a soft manner. Use a toothpaste and not a gel based paste. After that, wipe it down with a damp cloth and remove the toothpaste.
3 Vegetable oil
You might not believe it, but most oil based products are brilliant at removing scratches. You can use vegetable oil in order to remove the scratches from phone screen. Just put some drops of vegetable oil on the screen. Be careful to use just a drop or two, out directly on the scratches, as oil can seep through to the phone and cause damage. Now take a cloth and gently rub the screen with the cloth and wipe the oil clean after doing so.
4 Pencil eraser
Yes the same eraser that we used, to remove pencil marks and throw at our classmates in school does more than erasing words written in pencil on paper. All you have to do is wipe your phone screen with a wet cotton cloth, revealing the scratches. Then rub the scratches with pencil eraser. Easy Peasy!
5 Petroleum Jelly
Another thing that is best in removing scratches from phone screens is petroleum jelly or Vaseline. Petroleum jelly is another lubricating product that can be easily used in various kinds of ailments and problems, both of human and machinery kinds. Just put a tiny bit amount of jelly on a cotton swab and put it on the scratches on the screen. Wipe it off using a damp cotton cloth.
6 Brasso, Silvo or other polishes
Just a caution: if you use polishes like Brasso, Silvo, etc, you can end up removing the coating from the phone screen and result in more scratches and damage to the screen. So try this tip at your own risk.
