2 What is bone cancer?

Bone tumors may be categorized as primary tumors, which form in the bone or from bone-derived cells and tissues. Whereas secondary tumors are tumors that originate in other sites and spread or metastasize to the skeleton. Carcinomas of the prostate, breasts, lungs, thyroid, and kidneys are the types of cancer that most generally metastasize to bone.

Bone cancer can deteriorate the bone it matures in, but most of the time the bones do not fracture. People with a fracture next to or through a bone cancer regularly define sudden severe pain in a limb that had been tender for a few months.

Cancer in the bones of the spine tends to put pressure on nerves; this can lead to lack of feeling in the nerves and tingling or even weakness of nerves. Cancer can cause mass loss and fatigue. If the cancer spreads to interior organs it may cause other symptoms, too.

Chemotherapy (chemo) is the use of drugs to treat cancer. Chemo is complete therapy. This means that the drug go in the bloodstream and flows to reach and destroy cancer cells all over the body.

Chemo is occasionally used for bone cancer that has spread through the bloodstream to the lungs and/or other organs. Chemo destroys cancer cells, but it will also harm some normal cells along the way. Watchful attention is given to avoid or lessen side effects.

The side effects of chemo depend on the type of drugs, the amount taken, and the span of time they are taken. Certain common short-term side effects include nausea and queasiness, loss of hunger, hair loss and mouth sores.

4 Her photography project

Roshini decided to keep herself positive despite doctors giving her very less chance to live. She managed to use her will to keep herself going through numerous chemo therapy sessions, not giving any thought to how painful they were and all the side effects they brought.
