Watch how this orphaned baby kangaroo thought this cop was It’s mom. It will melt your heart…
You’ll be surprised to know how animals can trust humans. Especially babies; who are known to adopt humans as their mothers and care-takers! Animals sense affection and security; this goes to prove how animal babies have neo-natal requirements as a human baby. This little baby kangaroo was no exception.
After it’s mother met with an accident, its adorable to see how this poor orphaned baby kangaroo thought this cop was it’s mom. Read on to find out how this happened.
1 The tragic accident!
Kangaroos are native to Australia. In some parts of Western Australia wild kangaroos can also be seen crossing highways. But that’s the most perilous factor of wild Kangaroos. This baby kangaroo’s mother was unfortunate to have been hit by a truck. Needless to say what happened next, it was sad that she died and little Joey, who was only 4 months old, was unaware of the tragic circumstances. Incidentally, baby kangaroos in Australia are called “Joey”. What happens next is truly adorable…
In what could be termed commendable, it was highly possible that the drivers of the vehicle pulled the little kangaroo out of the dead Mother kangaroo’s pouch. They handed the baby Joey to cops in a little town called Cue, northeast of Perth.
2 The new motherly figure for the baby kangaroo!
When Officer Scott Mason took charge of the baby kangaroo, the little fellow immediately took a liking to him; this orphaned baby kangaroo thought this cop was it’s mom. It JUMPED INTO HIS POUCH!! Well it was his shirt, but the Joey took it for a pouch and thought officer Mason was it’s mother. It was evident that all it wanted was a warm soft place to snuggle into which resembled it’s mothers pouch.
Officer Scott Mason had just been posted to Cue. A new Father Himself, Scott’s wife in Perth had just given birth to a son, the Officer took it upon himself to look after the kangaroo and it was he who posted an incredible and amazing video, which you can at the last page of this article.
3 The special bond!
Officer Scott Mason, an animal lover claimed he was going to look after this little Joey as his own. In fact together with local residents of Cue, they decided to name the baby marsupial ‘CUJOE’
Mason said that Cujoe needs feeding almost every three hours. It would be his baby from now on as his wife was still in Perth. Most probably the little Joey brought out the fatherly instincts in Scott as he too had just become a father himself.
4 The heart-warming video!
Scott Mason is a former paramedic. 6 weeks ago he was posted to Cue. He wanted to name the little kangaroo after his own baby but he felt his wife may not be too happy about it. Scott plans to establish a wild life rescue shelter for animals in Cue which features a small population of just 300 people. Watch this amazing video of a truly heart-warming bond. See how it jumps into his pouch and your heart will be melting with love and joy for this sweet little ‘Joey.’
