1They can know your child’s location
Many apps nowadays have an option to post the location where the image was taken. This feature can also be seen on a ton of social media platforms. This gives the Internet and all those who have access to it a great chance to know exactly where your child, your family and you live. It might not give them the complete address but a simple Google search and they will find it.
2They know what your child looks like
Posting pictures of your child on a nearly daily basis is a bad thing as people get to know what your child looks like. A single image posted with a few months of gap in between is better. Posting daily gives people a good look at your child’s face from different angles and get to know all the identifying features of your child. The world is a bad place and full of bad people, always remember that. We’re not saying don’t post pictures we’re saying post them with control.
Along with pictures, some parents love to reveal details about their children. You may think telling your friends and family the height or weight of your child or even his eye color is harmless and could not have any negative consequences but trust us, they do. People on the Internet can do anything with simple details about a person’s life.
4Your child’s face
Photoshop is a miracle computer application for graphic designers but can also be your worst nightmare. You may have heard of celebrity fakes where the faces of well-known, mostly female celebrities are placed on the naked body of a model. There are people who do that with children’s images too. Posting pictures of your child every day just gives them a good supply of faces to choose from.
Parents always post the date of birth of their children which isn’t a good thing and isn’t a bad thing. When you look at it, it seems completely harmless as the child is a newborn baby but what happens when that child grows up. There are some parents who put up their child’s whole life online. Date of birth, birthmarks, favourite sports teams, names of pets and an almost accurate location. If someone wants to harm you or your child they have a treasure chest of information.
