1 The couple
Tyne Owens belongs to New South Wales in Australia and he had been dating a gorgeous lady by the name of Jamie Sheumack for a long time. He had decided to ask her to marry him and wanted to propose her.
But he was waiting for the right moment and occasion to ask her. Just as his thoughts were going to run out, he saw the occasion of Christmas approaching and along with Jamie’s family, hatched an elaborate plan in order to propose Jamie during the holiday season.
2 The image
He had already told his plan to the whole Sheumack family and they readily agreed to be a part of his surprise that Jamie had no inkling of. His plan started by asking Jamie and her family to get ready for some festivities and Christmas preparations.
He started with the tradition of the family Christmas photo and asked Jamie and her family to participate in one dressed as Santa and his little helpers. Little did Jamie know that Tyne had planned to propose her in a way during the photoshoot that she will remember for eternity.
There were 15 people in the photoshoot from Jamie’s family including Jamie and Tyne. Tyne had given 9 of those people T-Shirts with a special Christmas message printed on them to wear during the photoshoot.
3 The original message
When the first image was clicked, 9 people wearing the lettered Tees had the message “Merry Christmas” displayed in the image. The photo was clicked without any problems and came out looking quite good.
Jamie checked the image to make sure the photo was worthy of sending to relatives and framing purposes. Just then the photographer requested the family to get ready for some more shots and asked some of the members of the family to switch places for the next image.
This switching of places by the people wearing the tees was the elaborate plan hatched by Tyne in order to send his message across to her girlfriend. You ask how? Click to go forward to the next page to find all about the plan and the reaction.
4 The clever trick and message
The moment the photographer requested the people wearing the lettered T-Shirts to switch places for the next photo, the family members moved places as asked by Tyne previously so that his proposal with those amazing Christmas photos could bear fruit.
When the image was clicked, Jamie got up to see the photo and got the surprise of her life. You see, when the people switched places for the photo, they also changed the message of Merry Christmas to Tyne’s proposal which read “Marry Me?”
Some people had covered up their Tees which had the X with a heart. Tyne kneeled beside Jamie on one knee and with the ring in his hand, asked Jamie to marry him. Jamie’s family shouted Jamie to say yes and when eventually she said yes, everyone jumped in joy.
