The Winners Of The 2018 Nature Conservancy Photo Contest
The Nature Conservancy contest has its roots back in 1951 and since then, it has been working to preserve the natural beauty of land and water on which all life depends on. The 2018 Photo Contest, as well, portrays the beautiful and powerful work of art of nature photography. This year’s contest counts a record-breaking number of entries that is 57,489 photos from 135 countries. The theme of the photo was sorted into five different sections- Water, Land, Wildlife, Nature and People and Cities and Nature. According to the director of photography regarding The Nature Conservancy Contest, Bill Marr, who was also one of the judges, ‘The quality of the entries that has come up this year is absolutely stunning. This, it is really very difficult to select the winner’. Thus, it is pretty clear that this year’s Nature Conservancy photo content was a hit with so many attractive photos of nature and its constituents. Photography is a language for all, it is a society that bonds everyone together. Every photo carries a story and the ones selected carried the best stories.

The ‘Frog Hug’ captured by Terra Fondriest from USA takes the third place in the contest. According to Terra, “Down at the mud puddles on our road, we found several young bullfrogs hopping around. Upon our hilltop, there lies a few wet spots far between, thus our mud puddles are home to several tadpoles, frogs, and toads. In fact, my daughter loves all creatures and aims to create a wildlife rehabilitation center someday. She often inspires me with the care that she has towards all living things.”
Sometimes even animals, even the tiniest can be your friend and give you a warm hug when you need one. It is all about spreading love.
