1 Dr. Henry H. Homes

Believed to be America’s first serial killer, with a body count believed to be up to 200 victims; there is yet to be a big screen movie made about this horrific murder. Back in the 1890’s Homes built a custom Hotel in Chicago with a special killing floor where he had built windowless rooms, mazes, and traps; making it pretty much inescapable by his poor victims. Doors opened to brick walls and laundry chutes were used to dump bodies into flesh stripping acid. Some minor pieces of this horrific killer’s stories have been adapted in other files; but for this horrific mass murderer a true account of his bizarre and deathly practices definitely deserves’ its own movie. A documentary has been produced, but a feature film would be a definite winner for this weird and sick serial killer.

2 The Winchester House

What a great name for a horror film without giving too much away. The Winchester House is one of the weirdest and strangest buildings in America and was the home of the deceased Sarah Winchester. Ms. Winchester believed that ghosts created by the rifles owned by her late husband, the gun creator William Winchester, had come for her for vengeance. Believing she need protection from the guns created by her husband, she build a North Carolina mansion which was actually under construction for a ridiculous 36 years! Ms. Winchester believed that keeping her house in a constant state of construction would ward off her dead husband’s created spirits in the guns as it would keep the spirits in a state of flux constantly and they would not be able to settle, and then focus on her. Sounds like Ms Winchester had lost her marbles as well as all her money building a home for 36 years! Ms. Winchester got so lost in the importance of continuous building that the home contains windows that look into the home, and not outside, and stairways and doors that lead to nowhere. It was estimated that Ms. Winchester spend over $75 millions in today’s rates warding off the spirits that inhabited her husband’s guns. The house is on a tourist attraction tour since Ms. Winchester died in 1923. A movie based on this weird and bizarre woman and house would make for some interesting horror. Instead of people haunting and chasing you through the house, there will be Winchester rifles and guns coming for you. Weird but true.
