An effective solution if the Sea level continues to rise

Russian architect, Alexander Remizov conceptualized a world that would be filled with water if the Sea levels gradually rise and our earth is drowned under water and accordingly designed a concept of an arc hotel to save mankind. The Arc hotel has been designed in a way so that it is waterproof, can withstand any kind of strong flood, rising oceans, tidal waves and earthquakes as well as any kind of natural unforeseen disasters. This has been designed to help mankind fight any kind of unforeseen natural calamity like a hurricane, storm or tsunami.

1 What will the imaginative Arc hotel look like?

The lower part of the Arc hotel will have enough displacement so that it can float well. The hotel would cover a wide area and the oval shape of the hotel would make it stable enough to withstand rains as well as storms. It can drift by itself and can also be towed in the right direction if it loses its way by some other ship, though it would not have compass of its own. The whole structure of the Arc hotel would be sustainable so that it can create its own energy as well as can recycle all waste material by itself internally. Now isn’t that a great idea to think about?

2 The installation of solar panels

The curved shape of the Arc would help the solar panels to accumulate maximum sunlight so that the Arc stays bright and lighted up at all times. It would also help in circulation of wind by good ventilation system and help to generate extra wind with the help of a generator. Any kind of waste products that would be generated by the people living in the Arc hotel would be transformed into strong power energy. The hotel has also been perceived to generate extra electricity so that it can power neighboring homes or electric cars as well. This would be making it ecologically friendly as well.

3 The Green part

Now comes the Green plantation part. Would the Arc have enough greenery around it? Several imaginary photos reveal that the Arc would come with fresh green plants that would be specially grown inside the arc to freshen up the atmosphere, purify the toxic waste products and provide oxygen to the people in the Arc. There would be different kinds of green plants as well as flowers along with fruit trees and bonsais as well.

4 Accommodation purpose

The Arc would be big enough to accommodate large amount of people at the same point of time. There would be a small park like space under the ceiling where guests could sit back and relax. The whole idea is indeed an innovative one that is simple to build on as per the architect.

Few materials would be required to build the Arc. Since the weight of the whole Arc would be equally distributed, it would reduce the chances of falling prey to any kind of natural disasters as well. In case there is any unforeseen natural disaster, the arc can be assembled and also operated. It does not require any kind of complex ideas or structures.

5 When was the arc designed?

Remizov designed the Arc for an international union of architect’s competition where the main theme of the competition was to save people from disaster. Though the Arc is yet to be built, Remizov plans to build it someday in future and he also believes that it would be of great help to all human beings if there is at all, any kind of natural calamity waiting to strike us. He believes that there is still more to be developed and there is always scope for development. The floating arc is a great design that he has imagined will be of great help to the society.
