Usually people find calculations and simple math very hard and doing mental calculations has seemingly gone out of fashion with calculators everywhere including your smartphones. But there are some tricks that make this seemingly hard task easy and we have 6 of such tricks for your math enlightenment.
1 How to convert Celsius into Fahrenheit and vice-versa?
While most of the world normally uses Celsius, some countries in the world still use Fahrenheit as the unit for temperature. Fahrenheit is also used as the unit in various experiments. There are times when you need to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa. To convert from Celsius to Fahrenheit, you multiply the temperature by 2 and add 30 to the answer (normally its multiply by 1.8 and add 32, but this is to simplify it). To convert from Fahrenheit to Celsius, deduct 30 from the temperature and then divide the answer by 2.
2 How to multiply any number by 11?
Wanna know how to multiply a number by 11? In this case, let’s take 32, and now add these two digits of the number. The answer will be the middle digit of the value you will get after multiplying the whole number by 11. So when you multiply 32 by 11 you answer will be 3 (3+2=5) 2, i.e. 352.
3 How to remember value of Pi?
The number pi denoted by π is a mathematical constant and it is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. Numerically its value is 3.14159. The number is often used in calculations and it is given that you should remember its value uptil five digits after the decimal point. You can remember it using this phrase “May I have a large container of coffee”. The number of letters in each word denotes the number in the value of π.
4 How to work out the percentages?
Working out percentages can come in handy when you are out shopping and see a sale happening. Therefore, if you have to work out what is 30% of 400, you need to drop the digit at 1s place and multiply the remaining digits, here 3X40= 120.
5 Multiples of 9
When you have to remember the table of 9, this little trick will help you immensely. For table of 9 till 9X10, all you need to do is write the numbers from 0-9 starting from 9X1 and coming down and then write 9-0 starting from down to up. See the image below.
6 Eating this thing can increase your math skills
If you want to improve your math skills, you should be ready to eat one very delicious thing, chocolate.
