She went after her missing dog and nearly fainted. What happened next was scary!

Losing someone dear to you is quite painful and difficult. Everybody incurs losses when it comes to pets. Our lifespan is longer than theirs and they come to us in passing. We always seem to have a new dog every time one of our old dogs pass away or we lose contact from them. What’s shocking about this story is the fact that a missing dog caught the attention of many because of the way it got lost in the process— eaten.

This is a story of a dog’s ugly demise when it ends up being eaten by an anaconda.

1 Looking For A Lost Dog

This girl got up in the morning to play with her dog before breakfast. Unusually though, her dog was nowhere in sight. She was well on her way through the swampy areas of their home hoping that her dog was just playing around. To her surprise, her dog got lost somewhere else. Her dog ended up on the bad end of a snake’s mouth in the nearby stream.

She ran home to report the gruesome fate of her dog. And she was immensely distressed to lose her companion forever. Her family contacted the nearest reptile handler in order to suppress the large snake and bring it elsewhere. The handler who came to the site immediately was Sebastien Bascoules.

2 From Snake To Anaconda!

This 39-year-old reptile lover has been enjoying the company of reptiles from the most dangerous to the gentlest of creatures. Since he was ten years old, he’s been trained to capture reptiles of any kind and it stuck with him until his late 30s. A Brazilian native of the French Guiana, Sebastien was the one who courageously went half naked into the stream to catch the snake that ate the little girl’s dog. To his absolute surprise, he wasn’t catching a python; he was actually searching for the head of an Anaconda.

Sebastien didn’t have to wrestle with the anaconda because the animal was too full from its doggy meal. When a snake is full, it is quite delicate. It takes a long time for them to digest a full meal. Sometimes, it takes a snake an entire week to digest a big animal. In this case, the anaconda has just freshly eaten the dog that it is incapable of actually moving about freely. He enlisted the help of his friend in order to carry the anaconda out of the stream and into the back of his car.

4 Bringing It Home

Sebastien wasn’t quite too eager to let this 5 meter reptile back into the wild yet. His children were enjoying the company of the anaconda. With its head covered with a cloth, it acted like a gigantic worm. Since it was late into the day, he couldn’t travel to a far distance to let the animal back into the wild. A place far from human civilization, that is. So he decided to bring it home and let it stay in his home for the night. To none of the horror of everyone in the house, it’s quite astonishing that everybody from his wife to kids liked the idea of an anaconda inside their home.

5 Releasing It Into The Wild

He didn’t disclose where he released the wild animal though but he travelled quite a distance to bring the animal back to its home. The animal was sent to a place where it is safe from humans harming it and where humans are safe from it. Sebastien went home happy and delighted with this find.
