See what the teenager hacker has to say about the hacking of CIA Director’s email account
The news of the hacking of the CIA director’s email account, was first reported by the New York Post, after the hacking themselves called into the newspaper. This happened last week and since then the hackers are having a field play where they are boasting about their hacking skills in interviews to various media outlets. The hackers also accessed the internet provider account of the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson and heard his voicemails. The FBI and Secret Service are now investigating the whole matter, which in the CIA Director’s own words epitomizes cyber threat. Take a look at the whole story.
1 How did it all happen?
The hacker claims that he broke into the AOL account of the CIA director, John Brennon by posing as a Verizon worker. He tricked an employee of the company into revealing personal information of the CIA Chief. From that information, they got his name, address, phone no, social security no, and even the last four digits of the Brennon’s credit card. All this was enough for them to be able to hack into the personal e-mail account of the CIA director.
