See a brilliant way to cover up tattoos in 7 steps, at home!!
Everybody loves tattoos. But there are times when certain situations might arise, where there is a need to cover the tattoos.
Situations like a job interview or for a formal photo-shoot require no tattoo. Or just you want to hide that ugly looking tattoo that you got in a drunken bet and now want to cover it up. There may be several reasons you would need to cover your tattoos temporarily, and of course where a will there is a way.
Though there are many professional ways and products to hide the tattoos, but they are also expensive and sometimes it is not advisable to use those methods and products every day. They can harm your skin in the process. Here is how you can hide those tattoos in 7 easy ways using nothing but simple everyday use products.
1 Step1: Apply a primer
First step is to apply a primer over the area where the tattoo is present. It helps in keeping all the work you are going to do afterwards on the skin. This especially comes in handy if you have oily skin. This will help keep the make up in place and not get patchy because of the oil secreted by your skin.
Use the primer that is closest to your skin color.
2 Step 2: Neutralise the darkness
Now the real thing begins. Use an orange colored cream shadow or lipstick and neutralise the darkness of the tattoo. Apply the cream or the lipstick on the tattoo using a brush only on the tattoo. Try not to stray out of the tattooed area.
3 Step 3: Eliminate the stickiness
Now a big step, in order to eliminate any stickiness on the skin, use a translucent setting powder, dust the tattoo lightly with it. The powder should be dusted over the tattoo’ orange shadow in order to lock it in its place.
4 Step 4: Trace over the tattoo
Now use a concealer or a flesh colored eyeliner in order to carefully trace over the tattoo. Just be careful to trace over only the tattoo and not around the tattoo. Better to use a concealer or a liner that has a dry consistency, as it makes it stay in its place and not slide around.
5 Step 5: Use a foundation
For the majority of the tattoo coverage using a cream foundation or concealer will cover up the rest of the tattoo’s darkness.
Using a thick, smoothed concealer brush, lightly speckle the foundation/concealer on the tattoo. Use spherical motions to blend it at the edges.
6 Step 6: Apply powder
Use a powder puff to apply a powder matching your skin tone, or if you have a yellow undertone, a yellow-toned setting powder. Use a pressing gesture so that you don’t disrupt your concealer placement.
7 Step 7: Setting spray
The final step is to use a setting spray to ensure that your tattoo is kept hidden all day or night. The spray also makes sure that the makeup really stands up to heat and humidity.
