Grizzly bears are often thought to be at their best when in the deep woods. Man has always maintained a distance from these bears as they sometimes get wild and attack people often killing them. Casey Anderson had met this abandoned grizzly bear cub in the wild and did not have a little idea on the ways his life would change, post his meeting with the bear cub. He named the abandoned bear cub as Brutus.

The friendship of Casey and Brutus has been going strong ever since the grizzly bear, Brutus was about 5 months of age. The bear cub was rescued by Casey from a wildlife park which was overcrowded and not much effort was being put in to care for the abandoned bear cub. The small bear cub would have eventually passed away unattended had it not been for the efforts of Casey who not only took the bear cub home but also ensured that it was cared for appropriately.

Both are so close that they can easily understand each other’s emotions and respond with the required gesture. Brutus has grown into a big grizzly bear and now lives happily in Montana Grizzly Encounter. However, Casey ensures that Brutus is well cared for and visits him on a regular basis.

Initially it was tough for Casey to let Brutus return to Montana Grizzly Encounter as Brutus had spent first three years of his life with Casey. The absence of mother in the baby bear’s life had its impact on Brutus and the bear cub reacted with amazement when it was left at the Montana Grizzly Encounter.
