The first ever photograph of lightning was recorded by William Jennings who wanted to know if lightning actually struck in a zigzag form or not. His patience paid off and his phenomenal photo of lightning was also to prove, it was more complex than most people thought.

7The first car, 1896

Quite a number of people know that it was Henry Ford who invented the first car which he designed and named the quadricycle. The vehicle moved on 4 bicycle tires and ran on gasoline. He is pictured here sitting in the vehicle with his wife. Ford set up the Ford Motor Company in 1903.

8Annie Edson Taylor, 1901

Annie Edson Taylor was an adventurer who did so to earn money. She had the ambition of wanting to go over the Niagara Falls in a barrel and actually did the incredible feat at the age of 63. She became the first person to do so.

9First Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, 1931

The Rockefeller Center in Manhattan is famous for its Christmas tree showpiece every Christmas. But the first-ever tree that decorates the center was in 1931 and was decorated with cans toys and cranberries.  Post-1933, it became a tradition for putting up a tree which is done so in early December.

10The first Apple computer, 1976

This was the very first Apple computer designed and developed by Steve Wozniak for Steve Jobs. The computer was bought by Steve Terrell who was the only man to purchase the machine. Wozniak built the circuit board while Ron Wayne developed the Apple 1 operation manual. Jobs managed the promotion and advertising of the product.
