Paul Walker’s daughter is all grown up and started something great in her father’s memory
Paul Walker was a brilliant actor who had finally hit a stride in which his efforts were bearing fruit with a blockbuster franchise under his belt. His Fast and Furious series of films had garnered him not only lots of money and fans base, but also respect from peers who had finally seen his acting chops. But, all that was taken away when unfortunately he passed away in 2013 in a car accident. He left behind his daughter Meadow, who had just moved in to live with him. Meadow recently did something in his memory that will not only make you proud of her, but will bring back memories of Paul walker, whether you are his fan or not.
1 Paul Walker and his life
You may remember Paul Walker from his brilliant role as Brian O’Conner in the Fast and Furious movie franchise, which features him and co-star Vin Diesel racing cars. Walker also appeared in numerous other movies like She’s All That and Varsity Blues and TV shows like The Young and the Restless and Touched by Angels. The 40-year-old actor was killed in a car crash on November 30th, 2013. He was riding with his friend Roger Rodas in a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. The vehicle collided with two trees at 45 mph on Kelly Johnson Parkway in California. The vehicle then burst into flames and Walker, who was in the passenger seat died due to trauma from crash and thermal trauma, and both his and Roger’s body burned beyond recognition. He left behind his daughter Meadow, born in 1998 from his former girlfriend Rebecca Soteros. Meadow had lived with her mother till 2011 and then moved to live with Walker in 2011 when she was 13.
2 Meadow Walker and the Paul Walker Foundation
Meadow was 15 when Walker passed away, but now the 17-year-old has launched the Paul Walker Foundation, a nonprofit organization that will provide grants and scholarships to students who pursue marine biology or work in the scientific field of marine science and education. The foundation was launched on what would have been the actor’s 42nd birthday. Meadow said, “His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill. I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others.” It was also announced that funds will also be raised for Paul’s charitable disaster relief organization Reach Out Worldwide, which he had started when he was alive.
