7What is actually PROBLUE?
It can be called a part of Blue Economy program of the World Bank. It is multi-donor trust fund (MDTF) founded by the World Bank in order to work for making our oceans healthy. Our oceans and seas are facing a lot of problems and there is a dire need to ensure that our aquatic and coastal resources are protected and properly used.

8What is the need of PROBLUE?
There is no denying the fact that our oceans have been exploited a lot whether it is in terms of fishing, pollution or coastal erosion. We should not forget that these oceans provide us with food, jobs and they also manage our climate but if they do not remain healthy, it will have an adverse effect on our economy and living conditions too.

9What is Norway doing or will do?
First of all, the nation will focus on setting up a waste management system which will include the formation of a reliable collection system or construction of a landfill. Norway is also working on a system known as cash for trash. It is a quite simple project in which the country will pay its citizens to pick the trash.

10Oceans are very important for Norway’s economy
Keeping oceans clean and healthy is necessary for Norway for one more reason and that is – 75 percent of their export revenue is dependent on the coastlines and the ocean. So, if they don’t make efforts to save these big water-bodies then their economy will suffer badly and many people will lose their jobs.
