Norway Announces Its Plan To Clean Plastic Waste and Litter From The Ocean
Pollution is one of the most serious concerns that the world is facing in the present times and our oceans, seas and rivers are also affected by it. The aquatic animals are losing their lives because of the irresponsible behavior of human beings as they are consistently engaged in throwing or dropping litter in the water bodies.
These water bodies are not just a medium of transportation but they are also a source of water and food for us and they also play an important role in our ecosystem. Many nations of the world have understood that we can’t survive without keeping our water bodies clean but there is a need to instill the sense of urgency about this matter in the minds of everyone before it’s too late.
1Importance of oceans for humans
Oceans are very important for human as they are not just a source of food but they also release 50% of the world’s oxygen and also absorb the harmful carbon-di-oxide almost 50 times more that what the atmosphere absorbs. The ocean also provides us with many herbs which have medicinal properties that are used to cure many diseases such as heart diseases, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, arthritis, etc.
