NASA Reveals How The Earth Would Look If The Oceans Were Drained

11What would happen if the water were to disappear?

This is something that has been discussed a lot. What would happen to the earth and all living life if the water we know suddenly disappeared? The water in all the oceans has two life-supporting roles. They absorb and distribute solar radiation and they feed the water cycle. Without both, life would cease to exist on the planet.

12How could this water disappear?

The biggest reason as to how this could happen according to a scientist is either a man-made incident as nuclear war or something like a meteorite that crashed into the ocean evaporating all the water. Both are highly unlikely scenarios for the common man but scientists have thought about it and how life would move on.

13Life would die

This is a fact that life would not exist without water but many have asked would life exist as we know it if Earth was not covered by 71% water? The answer is yes, life would exist but the truth is it would not be as diverse and populated as we know it today. The balance that the land and water have made is the reason for all life as we know it today.

While our modern society depends heavily on technology we still need natural resources. This is why there are so many activists that are trying to preserve what we have before we find ourselves in troubled waters. Depleting natural resources can only negatively affect our world and there isn’t any technology available that can save us from it.

15We will never lose all our water

The question everyone asks is why should we care about water when there is so much of it. But the real question is how much of that water is useable? The more we pollute the water bodies we have the less there is for our use as well as for aquatic animals and organisms.
