This was recently proven by 6-year-old Bridger Walker who protected his little sister from a vicious dog attack. The attack left Bridger in the hospital to have surgery for almost 2 hours and he ended up with 90 stitches on his face. Where most children would run, he stood strong as a rock to protect his 4-year-old sister from the dog without even thinking about himself.

The attack happened when Walker and his sister were at a friend’s house in Wyoming. There a 1-year-old German Shepherd lunged at the children while they were outside in the backyard. Without a second thought, the little boy stepped in front of his sibling to protect her and was bitten in the face by the dog.

3He had to undergo surgery

The child had to undergo a nearly two-hour-long surgery that resulted in more than 90 stitches on his face. According to his parents, the child is recovering at home. According to the parents, who were present at the scene when the incident happened, they noticed the dog but didn’t think it would attack.

According to the child, he saw the dog charge towards them which is when he stood in front of his sister to make sure she didn’t get attacked. This was when the parents came rushing but were just a second too late. The dog latched onto Bridger’s cheek and in just a second was able to do a lot of damage.

The dog wasn’t a wild dog that attacked the children but it was out for a walk with its owner when it happened. The dog charged at the children playing in their backyard for no reason and attacked the poor and helpless Bridger. Luckily the owner was able to get the dog off before it did something irreversible.
