Man Saves Daughter from Shark Attack after Punching It Five Times on the Face
5Receiving good care
She is receiving excellent care and therefore is in good condition. Appreciation has been expressed by her family for the individuals who helped at the beach, the first responders and the heroism of her father who saved her life.
6Ironically she is an advocate for marine life
Paige is also an unwavering advocate for marine life and the animals which live in water, despite this unfortunate circumstance. She even wishes for people to still respect sharks in their natural environment and their safety.
7Her mother posted the incident on social media
Janet Winter, Paige’s grandmother has posted updates about her granddaughter on Facebook along with praises of her son’s fight against the shark:
In Janet’s Facebook post, she wrote “Many prayers needed. Our 17-year-old granddaughter Paige Winter was attacked by a shark today. In surgery now will lose one leg above the knee and some fingers.”
8He saved his little girl
Regarding her son, Paige’s father she wrote: “Thank God our son was with her. He said he punched the shark in the face five times before it let go. Wish we could be with them.” It seemed Charlie Winter dad what any brave father would have done because it was a matter of life and death. He saved his little girl.
Charlie incidentally is a former marine. He just ran into the water and saw the trail of blood and followed it watching the shark dragging Paige further out. He then dove into the water and caught up with it and started repeatedly punching it in the face.
