Man Saves Daughter from Shark Attack after Punching It Five Times on the Face

Imagine being attacked by a shark, it can be frightening but not when you have a father who is willing to take the shark head-on. This is a viral incident making headline news and the story of a man who actually saved his daughter’s life by punching the shark in the nose five times. While he may have saved her life, she was not so fortunate to escape uninjured. Paige was mauled badly by the shark and has even lost a hand.

1Paige winter was swimming at Fort Macon State Park

While Paige Winter, a 17-year-old teenager was swimming at Fort Macon State Park in North Carolina, she was attacked by a shark, but saved by her father after he punched the predator five times in the face. Even though she suffered deep lacerations to her leg, pelvic and hand arrears, she nonetheless survived because of the heroic actions of her father.

2The grandmother related the story about the father’s heroic deed

It was her grandmother who claimed that her father punched the shark five times in the face before it finally let her go, while the hospital in which she was being treated reveled this heroic feat of his.

3She is now in good condition

According to the reports by ABC12, The teenager was treated by Atlantic Beach EMS after they arrived at the scene once they were alerted about a person being bitten by a shark. Paige was fortunate enough to survive the attack and is now in good condition since she is receiving excellent care at Vidant Medical Center Greenville after being airlifted there. However, she has had multiple sever injuries and even lost her hand.

4Regarding her condition Vidant Medical Center has recently released a statement:

Paige Winter is at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, N.C. and is currently recovering from a shark attack that took place on the 2nd of June, 2019 at approximately 12:20 pm at Fort Macon. Had it not been for the timely action of her father, she might have lost her life.
