4TikTok is a disguised data collection service
According to an article that appeared on various websites like Bored Panda, Bangorlol claims that TikTok is nothing but a data collection service disguised as a social network. They may also be using an API to collect user data such as contacts from the device. It collects information like phone hardware, number of cores, memory usage, disk space and apps installed on the device. Moreover, it collects data about the WIFI network you are using, IP address, WIFI access point name etc. It also sets up a local proxy server for transcoding media.
