6They handed the purse back to the school
According to the school, Patti would’ve been around 14 years of age when she lost her purse. The family gave the school permission to share the images of the contents found in her purse as it was over 50 years old by now. Patti had passed away in 2013 but the purse was a great way to get a glimpse into her life.
7What was inside?
Among other things, they found the common college girl requirements to have like pencils, a pen, a ruler, an eraser, a comb, napkins, and some lipstick and a makeup pad. Just seeing how great of a condition they were still in was incredible. They were all preserved so well inside the purse.
8No one knows how it got there
No one knows how the purse got where it was found. While many believe it was a prank others think it was by accident. Regardless of how it got there, it was in incredible condition when it was found 60 years later. The contents were in pristine condition and showed us a life that we all had forgotten about.
9Patti lived till 71
According to the family, Patti had a great life. She was married with five adorable children and she worked as a teacher in Annapolis Middle school for years. She was married to John G. Michele in 1980 and stayed with him until he passed away in 2007. She was also known for her love of working in theatre.
10Among the contents
Among the contents of the purse, a pocket calendar was found from 1956 which was something incredible to see. This showed how olden day’s calendars used to look. Even an ID card was found that belonged to Patti. All the contents were so safely kept in the purse that they survived being buried away for over 60 years.
