Amazing K9 Dog Squad Trained to Protect Wildlife Save 45 Rhinos from Poachers in South Africa
From time unknown, dogs have truly the proven to be man’s best friend, they are cute, funny, silly but loyal and always there to support you unconditionally. So much so that that in South Africa there is a dedicated K9 team who are specially trained to help their human colleagues to fight a battle against illegal poaching and protecting wildlife. 1The K9 fast response unit is a group of dogs trained to protect wildlife since they were puppies
The K9 fast response unit operating in Southern Africa has an awesome success rate of 68% while human success rate is a dismal 3-4%. They are trained to sniff our poachers and catch them and since they hunt in packs, poachers don’t have much chance. What makes them so efficient is that they have been trained since puppies and thus have become a reckoning force against poaching.

2They have become indispensable to their human masters
These dogs, no matter which breed, are trained meticulously to be hard taskmasters since they are puppies. This is the motto of Southern African Wildlife College in National Kruger Park, and because of this reason, they grow up to be indispensable for the human rescue workers.

3They’ve already saved 45 rhinos in South Africa from being poached
As already mentioned no specific breed of dog is required for this work, they could be bloodhounds or beagles, they are trained to be the deadly K9 Task Force. According to one K9 Taskforce master, the data collected till date has shown how the doggie team has saved 45 rhinos from being killed since 2018!
The dogs are trained to handle any sort of stressful and dangerous situations. If they get a poacher in their sights, the poachers have little chance.
