How can someone beat a mother in front of her child? Very Cruel!
When I was very young I lost my father. At that time my age was just 3 years, so could hardly even remember his face. Two years later i.e. when I was five my mother got married again and I got my step dad. After he came, things changed, not just things- our lives changed. Sometimes he seems to be very good, take us out for outing, but that just depends on his mood.
When he was not in a good mood he often torture my mother, I used to interfere, though both my mother and dad would yell at me to get lost. I even remember some occasions when I got hit by him, but how can I see my mother get beaten up in front of me?
1 My mother was crying, bleeding and shouting; take away your brother from here!
As the time passed by, things started to change- from bad to worse. I still remember that night when I was bit late reaching home. As soon as I reached, I saw my step brother crying and my dad was simply shouting at my mother. I even saw wound on her hand from where blood was flowing. Before I could react, I saw him throwing an ash tray on the head of my mother. My mother was crying, bleeding and shouting; take away your brother from here. Hearing the shouting, our neighbors reached and asked me to call police. I immediately called them and told them to come at once.
After 15 min, I saw the police coming up and there was some kind of argument going on between my step dad and the policemen. One policeman came to me and told me that they are giving first warning to my step dad and if he is not going to change his behavior then they will take strict actions. I was even being told that my mother can go to the court to restrict my step dad coming to our home.
2 My step brother was too beaten up by him and all this was making me nervous and horrified day by day
This changed the things but for some time only. After few days my dad was the same man like before. This time his cruelty was not just limited to humans rather he started to hurt our cat as well! My step brother was too beaten up by him and all this was making me nervous and horrified day by day. Our only piece of relaxation was TV that was in my bedroom. I always used to watch it on high volume so that I could not hear the shouting.
3 My step father used to call on her mobile again and again. Even he threatened to kill her
Life was moving like that and one day I got a call in my school. My mother told me to come home early. She told me to pack the things before my step dad come home. We packed everything we could and shifted to a house that was meant for people like us. Although it looked like an ordinary house but for me it was more like a heaven. There were workers taking care of the house and there were some other families too. I was happy to found a girl as a friend over there, nearly of my age. 5 months passed away like that but my mother still was not totally relieved. My step father used to call on her mobile again and again. Even he threatened to kill her. My mother informed police about that and he was charged for making threat calls.
4 Few days back my mother had to go to Family Court because of my father
As the time passed by, things began to get better. My mother arranged a new house and we shifted over there. Although still my step dad calls my mother, he is not allowed to come to our house as the court has placed restriction on him. Few days back my mother had to go to Family Court because of my father. He filed a request to get permission to see my step brother. Now my brother has to go to an aunt’s house once in a month to see my step dad.
5 Finally the trauma is over, now I don’t have to see my mother got beaten up in front of me
Yesterday I went for a counselling session with my mother. The counselling was nice and I was feeling better. If you are thinking about going to counselling for whatever reason, then you could easily check out this certified counselling company here. My counselor asked me to share with my mother everything I have in my heart. My first question was mom why you didn’t take this step earlier? Her reply was- she was worried what would happen to me and my step brother. Finally the trauma is over, now I don’t have to see my mother got beaten up in front of me.
I request to all the fathers in the world, when you shout on your family, the most affected ones are your kids. Maybe you do like this to get relax from your whole day tensions you got in office or whatever but, this horrible shouting break your children’s heart and they will never get out of this even they become an adult. So, if you wanna your kids grow peacefully and healthy please please take care of this.
