1 Clean your clothing iron

The clothing iron can collect a lot of gunk after being used on different kinds of surfaces and on different kinds of clothes. Sometimes you have to dry some clothes instantly, despite them being still wet and that causes the iron to collect dust and other grime which is then deposited on the iron itself, due to the heat. In order to remove this grime, all you have to do is sprinkle some salt on some wax paper. Then set the iron on its highest setting and move it on the wax paper. The salt will cling onto the dust and grime and fall right off.

2 Clean up after egg cracking

Everybody loves eggs and ham for breakfast. But the annoying part about making eggs for breakfast in any form is dealing with the aftermath of a cracked egg that got away. Cleaning up such cracked eggs off the counter or sink or anywhere is a big problem and to solve that problem, all you need is some salt. Cover the whole egg mess with lots of salt and leave it for 15 mins or so. The salt will transform the gooey egg to sand like substance and you can easily wipe that thing off the counter.

Side note: If you try this and you find that using salt, unfortunately, hasn’t worked for you, you could always find companies who offer plumbing services Charlottesville (if you reside in this area of Virginia) to get this sorted. The drain of the bathing tub becomes clogged with many things from time to time and one big culprit is hair. In order to make your own DIY drain cleaner, mix ¼ cup of baking soda and ¼ cup of salt. Try and clean and remove as much hair as you can from the drain with your hands (and we hope you wear gloves). Now pour the mixture in the drain and then pour ½ cup of white vinegar and leave it as it is for 15 minutes. Now boil a pot of water and let it down the drain, to clean the drain of hair and grime.
