First Impressions That People Get From You While Meeting For The First Time
Making new friends or meeting new people is a very tough thing to do. You never know how they would react to you and your nature in the first meeting. Human nature is definitely wired to make notions about everything when they first see them, let alone humans.
People tend to make conclusions about others just on basis of a look, the way people speak, the way they walk or even the way people eat or drink their edibles. Therefore it is very necessary for people to know what sort of conclusions people make when they look at someone for the first time.
1Whether you are trustworthy?
Having trust in someone is a very arbitrary thing. One cannot say what makes on trusting another human whom they have met for the first time. Some people take longer to check the person from every aspect before making their decision to trust them or not.
2How much time does one take to trust someone?
According to the researchers from Princeton University, a person takes just 0.1 seconds to calculate whether it’s worth trusting a stranger or not. A study conducted on two groups, who were shown photos and given a variable amount of time to look at it. One group was shown photos for 0.1 seconds and another was shown for unlimited time. The conclusion was that both the groups were thought to choose which people in the photos were trustworthy and which were not. Astonishingly the choices of both groups coordinated.
3Connection between tattoos and marital status
A study conducted by a graduate psychology major at the University of Texas, Lisa Oakes showed some surprising results. The study said that tattooed men were perceived to be committed; while tattooed women were perceived to be more available for relationships and prone to changing their partners and indulging in occasional intercourse.
4What makes tattooed women different from tattooed men?
According to a tattoo parlor employee, who took part in the study, said that tattoos are perceived as a mark of long-term commitment. If you can get a tattoo, you can commit to someone for the rest of your life and this means that you are trustworthy. But it has been shown by the study that people who have tattoos are deemed less trustworthy by others and it’s better to hide your tattoos rather than showing them off if you wish people should trust you.
5Are you a leader or driven to succeed?
Scientists from the University of Pennsylvania conducted a study with bald men and men with a full head of hair. They showed participants pictures of both kind of men and the results came out shocking when they asked whom they thought was more courageous and was fit to be a leader.
