Father replies about son’s absence from school in an epic way

We always want our parents to be less strict and more fun loving. Parenting is a thing that has to balance both the love and discipline sides and some parents are just better at doing so than others. May be some parents are born with the funny bone and know when to use that bone and when to use discipline.

43-year-old Simon Morgan, his wife Claire and their son James decided to take a break and they all headed to the beautiful Dubai for a vacation. This happened during James’ school term and they had to remove him from classes to do so. The business owner was then sent a text by Stanwell School, in Penarth, South Wales saying “James Morgan was absent from AM registration. Please can you TEXT a reply with the reason for this absence. Thanks Stanwell School.” This is done to inform parents when and if their ward misses classes in the school and is an automated system set up by the school.

Simon obviously found this text hilarious since the vacation was scheduled at the last minute and they couldn’t inform the school in advance. He replied to the text with a photo of James in front of the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa. He says that when he got the message he actually decided to send the picture as a picture tells a thousand words. He went on to say that he really thought that it was quite apparent from the picture as to why had he missed school.

Actually this isn’t the first time that Simon has sent such an amusing text in reply to the school’s text message about absence of James.

Previously also, the Stanwell School had sent text messages to Simon inquiring the reason behind James missing school. He has used every possible reason in the book from his son’s tardiness to hippos blocking the door of the house and even robots when explaining the reason why James skipped the classes or the day.

One time he took a page out of the Hangover movie and texted back that they had taken James out for a party on the completion of his GCSE exams. Then had some drinks. Now they are not sure what happened and he is in a hotel room with a tiger and flamingo. James is nowhere to be found and that he will try and check the roof.

Simon says that his prank texts are taken well by the school authorities. He said,” “I would say I am a fun but firm dad. I can be quite strict but James is a very good lad, he’s very caring and hard-working so I don’t mind having a laugh to entertain him or spoiling him occasionally.”
