But, all this actually happens on our planet. These are natural phenomena brought about by the changing seasons and in the right season you will actually get to witness these phenomena taking place right before your eyes.
So here is a list of such bizarre phenomena which take place throughout the year in different parts of the world:
1January: Frozen bubbles under Lake Abraham
During the summer Lake Abraham seems to appear similar to any other lake on the planet, but in winter, what happens in the lake is nothing short of pure magic. Large amounts of methane gas is emitted by the bacteria living at the lake’s bottom, which freezes into oval pillars under the lake’s crystal clear surface thereby giving it the appearance of a frozen bubble.
Location: Lake Abraham, Alberta, Canada.
Period: December to February.
2February: Yosemite Horsetail Firefall
We all know what a waterfall looks like, but has anyone ever seen a firefall? Yes, these do exist or at least one does which is located in Yosemite National Park. The rays of the setting sun in late February are just at the right angle to illuminate the flowing waters of Horsetail Fall, in a way that makes it seem like fire is falling down the mountain instead of water.
Location: Horsetail Fall, Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park, California USA.
Period: second of February.
3March: Starling murmurations
Amazing mass air ticks are performed by starlings when they gather in huge flocks of incredible sizes. Diving and rising in unison make them seem to appear like one huge organism and not a thousand different birds. Experts claim that when starlings gather into such amazing formations, it is for exchanging information and misleading predators with their hypnotizing movements.
Period: across the UK.
Timing: January to March.
4April: Wisteria blooming
Beside the Cherry Blossom season in Japan, there is another magnificent flower blooming season. In the spring, during one certain month, you can walk through wonderful magical tunnels which are formed by hundreds of Wisteria plants of varying colors from red to purple to yellow and white. It’s like seeing a fairytale with your own eyes.
