Covid Vax: Researchers Feel Suctioning Technique May Provide Better Results & More Protection Than Needles
5Benefits of suction technique
The team of researchers at Rutgers University, New Jersey has found that this new way of delivering COVID-19 vaccine makes the cells absorb more vaccine particles which is quite effective in enhancing immunity. One more benefit of suction technique as per the researchers is that the suctioning vaccine will be cheap and easier to manufacture in comparison to traditional vaccines.
6The trials on rats
The trials on rats gave successful results as the researchers carried it out on three groups of rats. The first group of rats was given two injections of COVID-19 vaccine only, the second group was given one injection and single suction and the third group was given two injections with two suctions.
7The findings of trials on rats
It was found that both the groups which were given suction after the shot showed anti-bodies levels two million (single-suction) and five million (double suction) higher than the group which was not provided suction. This proved that using suction technique for delivering vaccines is better than the traditional technique.
The process starts with injecting the vaccine in the arm as usual and then a suction device which has an orifice of 6-mm is placed on the injection spot for a small duration of 30 seconds. As per Dr. Hao Lin who is a professor in the department of mechanical and aerospace engineering at Rutgers University and has used the suction device, the process is neither painful nor it leaves any mark or scar on the skin.
