2 The Great London Fire

Nostradamus once again predicted the great fire of London when he said “The blood of the just will be demanded of London, burnt by the fire in the year 66.” If that wasn’t a striking and direct reference to a major world event then what is? The fire of London on Sept 2nd 1666 burned for three days and destroyed almost 70,000 homes.

3 Mark Twain’s Death

Mark twain himself believed that his fate lay entwined with the Haley’s comet. Twain is credited with making an accurate prophecy about his death in 1909 when he stated that he entered the world with Halley’s Comet in 1835 and would leave it the same way. True enough he died on April 21st 1910 one day after Halley’s Comet returned.

6 Lincoln’s assassination

Lincoln’s biographer Wald Hill Lamon once said that Lincoln had dreamed that his days may have been numbered and it was only days till he would be assassinated. He confided in Lamon that in his dream he heard sobbing and upon investigation he found people in the east room sobbing over a coffin in which lay the president who was murdered by an assassin. The intense sound of grief awoke Lincoln who was shaken up by the vivid experience. He was killed three days later, shot at the Ford Theatre.

The rise of Hitler is another vivid prophecy of Nostradamus who refers to Hitler as Hister in his prophecies. “From the depths of the West of Europe a young child will be born of poor people, He who by his tongue will seduce a great troop; His fame will increase towards the realm of the East.”. 8 The sinking of the Kursk
