Chinese Virologist Who Fled Hongkong Fearing for Her Life Claims China Did Cover Up the Coronavirus Outbreak
Time and again it is being proved how the coronavirus outbreak in China was one big cover-up and though the communist nation doesn’t like admitting it, there are worms crawling out of the woodwork threatening to uncover facts that do not exactly match with Beijng’s version of events surrounding the early days of the Pandemic and what caused it. In a new turn of events, a Chinese Virologist who escaped to the US has given an exclusive interview to Fox news in which she claims that China did indeed cover up the coronavirus outbreak.
1Researcher from Hong Kong escapes to New York
Dr. Li Meng Yan a Virologist and researcher who worked in the University of Hong Kong says she was one of the first people who got to research and study the Coronavirus which caused the pandemic disease Covid-19. She says that even though she had already done a lot of early research on the virus which Beijing knew about much before the outbreak started but her research was snubbed by the authorities.
2WHO only followed China’s bidding
Now in an exclusive interview in the US, Li Meng Yan explains how sources had already informed her of the human to human transmission capabilities of the virus but the WHO simply echoed China’s view that it was not possible. It mentioned it only after some time and that was much after Yan had confirmed the transmission ability of the virus.
3NO option but escape
Yan also mentioned in her interview that she had no option but to escape from Hong Kong as she ‘knows how they treat whistleblowers’. Dr. Yan is a specialist in virology and immunology at the Hong Kong School of Public Health. She now claims that China had information about the virus much before it officially informed the world about it. Dr. Yan also said that her supervisors all experts in their own fields and some even renowned scientists just ignored her research that she started from the very onset of the coronavirus outbreak.
4Her research was snubbed and not taken seriously
Doctor Yan says that had the research been taken seriously she believes many lives could have been saved. She risked her own safety by fleeing to the US from Hong Kong and had she been caught; she would like the others conveniently disappear or become indisposed. She now says it may not be possible for her to return to her home in Hong Kong. She says her laboratory is a WHO referenced one that specialized in researching pandemics and influenza viruses. Due to that, she feels that she and her colleagues felt it necessary to inform the world about the research but no importance was given to it, neither any steps taken.
