Charity Calendar Dad Bods and Rescue Dogs 2020 Is The Perfect Gift This Christmas

We are now in the second week of December and people are busy with their Christmas shopping searching for the perfect gift to give friends and family. Keeping that in mind, although we may look at Christmas as a holiday of gifting and receiving and even spending time with family but it also doesn’t hurt to introduce a sense of charity and meaning into the celebration to bring out the true spirit of Christmas. One non-profit dog rescue organization by the name Lucky Bulldog Rescue brought out hilarious calendar for 2020 called Dad Bods and Rescue Dogs in an attempt to raise money for the organization and it has become an instant hit going viral.

This is an amazing idea because not only is it funny but it also is for a good cause where the proceeds of the calendar go towards the upkeep of the rescue dog centre. The calendar was photographed by one of the volunteers and board members, Lyndsey Wright.

Wright easily found the best volunteer models top make the calendar come to life. It was not a hard task to do so. She posted on her personal Facebook account and got an immediate response. The calendar was already about to be a success.

Wright said “I made a post on my personal Facebook page telling people what we were doing because I knew I had some friends who would be great for this project. One of the models is a photography client. I mentioned during their session if he’d be willing to model and we did it right then and thereafter their family photos!

When the photographs for the calendar were published, it was an instant hit and people immediately started sharing them which made the project viral. As you can see, there is a huge element of humor and rather than using models with six-pack abs, Wright has used regular men with dad bod to lend a more humane and realistic touch for the calendar.
