He has also photographed Malala Yousafzai, but his latest subject, a Potato has really turned heads. The photograph was purchased in Paris by a private photograph collector for $1 million catapulting the photograph to a list of the 20 most expensive photos that have ever been sold till date.

The photograph of the famous tuber measures 162x162cm. Simply titled ‘Potato #345 (2010)’, it used to hang in his studio in Paris. But for some reason the nondescript photo caught the fancy of one of his many clients who immediately offered $1 million for the photograph. In fact the gesture didn’t really surprise Kevin Abosch who said that it has not been for the first time that someone had bought the art right off his wall. He went on to state that the client took a liking to the photograph after sharing a drink of wine with him in his studio. The price he mentioned was negotiated after a week of the purchase.

His photographs feature regularly in fashion magazines across the world; the most noteworthy among them being, Vogue. Commercial photography earns Abosch a cool $500.000 for every photograph.
