New study reveals that advanced alien civilizations have existed before us
Perhaps the most profound and unanswered question today in the 21st century is ARE WE ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE?? Could civilizations have existed before us and can there be the same existing in some other galaxy far away? If such a topic bothers on fantasy then can we prove we are not alone? What gives us the human race to think of ourselves as a unique species around which the entire universe revolves?? Who knows?? There may be another race out there who may consider us aliens too? They may be so advanced that we might appear primitive in terms of our technology and lifestyle.
1 New Research Reveals an Amazing Possibility
A new research paper out of Rochester University has provided the scientific world with powerful insight into this infinite question and goes on to explain that we were not the first advanced civilization to exist in this universe, there were earlier civilizations too.
It may all sound and seem fantastic to many doubting Thomases but such studies are not the ravings and ratings of mad scientists, these have been meticulously approached to reach near concrete and plausible theories that can be justified. The study based on a path breaking new angle has been co-authored by Woodruff Sullivan from Washington University.
2 The Search for Aliens In Cosmic Archaeology
The nature of the study doesn’t imply towards the belief that there may be civilsations existing now but indulges in the possibilities that even more advanced civilizations have existed before us in the universe. Those Civilizations could have been even more technically advanced than the technology that we have achieved till now.
The study focuses on an entirely new concept of cosmic archaeology and seeks to find out if civilizations did exist and evolve to advanced states of life and technology.
3 A Clever Deduction Given the Phenomenal Odds
With important data collected from the Kepler satellite, Sullivan and his partner Adam Frank just decided to ask the same question from a different angle. Instead they put forward the question? Were we always alone? Instead of discovering existing life they explored the possibility of earlier civilizations that might have been produced in the universe long before Earth.
Weighing the odds against the possibilities of any civilization developing in the universe, they found that number to be an incredibly low 1 in 10 billion trillion. This means that it was most likely that technically advanced civilizations had existed before humans did on earth. If you turned around the perspective of this statement it means that when a civilization has existed on earth, there are 10 billion chances the same might have happened in the history of the cosmos. That is a fascinating and incredible deduction.
4 Will We Ever Meet A New Civilization??
The most depressing news about such a revelation is that we may never get to see aliens. Why?? Because even if hundreds of civilizations had existed in the universe, they are most probably extinct. The factor of time comes into play here where the same concept of us observing the light of a supernova makes us believe it is in present time when in reality we are watching what might have occurred thousands of years ago.
Moreover, just as we have evolved after such civilizations, similar future civislations will exist only after we have been wiped out from this universe. This means there are only two possibilities of us meeting another alien in the universe. A civilsation would have to be technologically advanced to the point of preserving themselves even longer than us on Earth.
5 Will The Universe Cross Our Perception Of Limitations And Throw Up A New Surprise?
Even if civilizations have existed before us, it is the infinite distances between stars that make a meeting of civilizations most unlikely. Taking into account the speed of light which is fixed, this makes it near impossible. In simple terms an alien would trace 20,000 years just to message a simple “Hi” to someone on Earth. It would take another 20,000 years for a corresponding reply from earth.
The only possibility of us ever meeting aliens is if a technically advanced civilization came up with extremely amazing technology to bypass such limitations. Hopefully when we live in a universe that is continuously bombarding us with new surprises, our perception of limitations may be breached one day where hope is always a factor to answer the question, Are we alone??
