Here is an extensive compilation of commands using the win key or command key which can perform several tasks in windows or OX and its convenient and easy rather than going to the control panel or start bar.

Win — To open start menu in windows 8.1
Win + A — To open Action Center for Windows 10
Win + B — Opens the first icon in the Notification Area. After that you can switch between icons using the arrow keys.
Win + Ctrl + B — Takes you to a program that has received new messages in the notification area
Win + C — Shows the Charm Bar. Can be used in windows and 8.1; in Windows 10 it opens Cortana but only if you’re using a supported language.
Win + D — Shows desktop and immediately minimizes all the opened windows.

Win + E — To open Windows Explorer in Windows 10. This will open Quick Launch by default;
Win + F — To open ’Find files and folders’;
