Washing your face with Java coffee for a week can give you unexpected results
Every now and then, you can see commercials on television or now also online about various cosmetic products that claim to provide you fairer skin or clear skin. At times, there is no surety that the results are real or not, but it is true that the demand and sale of these products have increased significantly due to the attractive commercials and commitments made.
But there are a number of individuals who are not very much into chemical and cosmetic products, hence often search for the natural ways. Speaking of natural remedies, there are many internet sources that claim that Java coffee is a good natural remedy, but today we will highlight how a natural remedy like Java coffee can be a disaster for your skin. You should not blindly follow anything that you read on the internet.
1 Think twice before using Java Coffee
A cup of coffee in the morning can be the best way to wake-up from sleep and also to make you feel energized the whole day. But then, when you are using Java coffee, you have to be extremely careful, as there is no valid proof that java coffee can be a good remedy for your skin, yet there are various websites and online magazines that claim Java coffee as a natural remedy for great skin.
2 Claimed benefits of using coffee as a cleanser
Some internet sources claim that by using coffee as a facial cleanser, you could reap the following benefits.
Reduction in inflammation
Whenever you have a headache, you always look to have a cup of coffee. This is because the caffeine in the coffee has anti-inflammatory properties that are as effective as aspirin. The anti-inflammatory properties can reduce the inflammation on the skin.
3 Smooth skin tone
Who will not love to have a smoother skin tone? Coffee is gritty in texture and this grittiness helps in exfoliating the skin well. It removes the dead skin cells and other impurities that are making the skin rough. Also, it helps in loosening the fats under the skin so that you do not just have a clear skin but also a smooth looking skin tone.
Having said so, we would also like to tell you about the personal experience of a girl, who decided to use java coffee as a facial cleanser. You may just be shocked by what she faced.
4 Anna took the Java Coffee skin test
Recently a girl named Anna took a test and we will be sharing her story of the experiment, so that you can learn from her experience and be aware about the negative effects of using java coffee.
With so much of confusion and hype about the java coffee around the social media, Anna decided to try out the experiment.
5 The one-week test
Anna did the Java coffee test and she experienced a number of results for each passing day. As she started using the mixture, on the very first day, she felt that it had kind of awakened her skin, and also her skin looked clearer than before. But later on, she noticed redness all over her skin. At night she noticed that her face had become oily.
On the second day too, she felt the same kind of ‘awakening of skin’ as the first day. But now she could feel that the redness of her skin had increased.
On the third day, she started to feel a sort of irritation on the skin and her redness was increasing. Even though she had been using her sunscreen, her freckles had started to darken.
On the fourth day, she could see rashes above her eyebrows and the redness on her face was increasing. Apart from these, she noticed some bumps on her skin.
It was on the fifth day that she felt that her skin might have started to adjust to the coffee cleanser and the oiliness had decreased, but her under-eye circles were becoming dark.
6 Problems didn’t end!
Anna thought she would be fine, but her relief was short-lived as on the sixth day, the oiliness, redness and the bumpiness of her skin; all came back.
On the last day, she was sure that for her, the java coffee facial cleanser was not good. It had done more harm than good to her.
Hence, it is not necessary that everything that you see online as remedy may work for you. Though coffee has a number of benefits for skin, but may be, it has to be used only in a smaller quantity. Also, Anna may be having sensitive skin and so, she got allergic to the exfoliating nature of the coffee. Whatever may be the case, it is for sure that it is important to know and understand things well before trying out any kind of remedy shown on Internet. And in the case of coffee, kindly consider your skin type and then decide whether you have to use it or not after weighing the pros and cons of the product. You may also consult your skin specialist before you try such things.
