Study Reveals The Shocking Way How COVID-19 Can Travel Through Your Toilet
4Besides getting infected with the virus from your toilet you can even get infected from other places
Just like contracting the coronavirus infections from toilets without being aware of it, you can even get infected from other places or objects. Here are 7 ways in which you can be infected by COVID-19 without realizing it.
5From public transportation
One of the biggest risks of getting COVID-19 is from using public transportation. The risk is high due to the fact that you can either breathe in the droplets of the virus from the air or get infected by touching the surfaces. The coronavirus can survive on surfaces like the handles, seats, and ticket machines for up to 5 days. These surfaces are commonly touched by passengers every day which increases the spread of the virus.
6From mixing with other people while shopping
If a person who has the virus coughs or sneezes into the air, the small droplets of the virus tend to linger on for a while before dropping onto the ground or other surfaces. When you breathe in that same air or touch the surface on which the droplets landed on, you can get infected. This is one major reason why shops and all other public places are enforcing social distancing. Wearing a face mask and disposable gloves is absolutely necessary.
7When you touch objects without protection
The ideal setting for the spread of the virus is provided by supermarkets and gas stations. This is because people who frequently visit often have to touch or replace items swipe credit cards, and press parking ticket buttons, ATM machines and paper receipts.
You should always wash your hands with soap and water or with alcohol-based hand sanitizer after exiting and returning home from these places. Also, avoid touching your face after touching any shopping basket or trolleys. Wearing disposable gloves has been recommended as well.
