It is quite difficult to remain healthy without developing the habit of exercise. However there are several ways to incorporate activities in your lifestyle so that you need not required to go to the gym. This is not an alternative for one who is having the issues of diabetes or overweight. People who are healthy can avoid giving extra time for exercise with the help of healthy diet and active lifestyle. Here are some of the beneficial tips to stay fit without exercise.
1 Get a Pedometer
With the help of this inexpensive and small piece of device you will be able to know that how much exercise you have already done in your routine schedule. If you will consult a doctor then he will suggest you to take at least 10, 000 steps in a day to remain healthy.
If you are unable to follow this then you are required to find some other ways to remain active in your daily life. It is important to follow this in a regular way so that you can keep yourself away from the issues related with chronic disease, weight gain, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.
2 Walk Faster
If you travel, walk inside stores, or walk the dog, try to do them faster. By doing so you will be able to burn more calories, enhance the level of your heart rate and can also save time.
3 Avoid processed and sugar foods
If you eat junk food or fast food on a regular basis then forget that you can remain fit without the help of exercise. These are considered as empty calories which require a lot of activities to burn off.
4 Try to avoid the habit of sitting for a longer period of time
People who are having the habit of sitting for a long period of time they can suffer from the issue of back pain. If you will work in a standing position then you can burn about 33% more calories. You can also develop the habit of frequent walking as it is very beneficial for the muscles improvement.
5 Breathe Deeply
Develop a habit to relax, sit back and breathe deep into your diaphragm. If you will start the process of inhaling for 1 to 2 seconds and exhaling for 2 seconds, do this for a period of two minutes whenever you are free.
6 Eat fruit daily
Fruit contains sugar along with fiber, which is very helpful in regulating your digestive system. So, whenever you want to eat sugar then it is good to have a fruit.
7 Develop the habit of eating multi-colored vegetables
It is good to select multi-colored vegetables. By doing so you will be able to intake all the different types of vitamins and minerals. Have 50% whole grains and protein and rest of the plates must have cooked vegetables.
8 Travel by biking or walking, instead of driving a car
If this is an alternative, your travel will not require taking out to go for gym. With the help of this activity you will be able to get good source of Vitamin D from sunlight and also get a chance to release stress.
If it is not an alternative then try to travel in several ways. You can take the bus for half of the way, and cover half distance by your own. And in case if you are having a car then park it about half or one kilometer from your office, so that you can cover the rest distance by your own.
