3 Anorexia Athletica

In anorexia athletica, there is a loss of appetite with increased athletic activity. This is not essentially diagnosed as a disorder and hence not giving much importance, though it is increasing among many by the day and hence needs urgent attention. The trouble of anorexia athletica has much to do with the psychology of the person who is suffering from it. People with this disorder basically restrict their calorie consumption and go for excessive workouts in order to achieve a lean body. This tendency puts them at a greater risk of being malnourished. Apart from trying to ensure that they take enough food, these kinds of patients have to be counseled and they need to undergo psychiatric sessions

This is also called NES and as the name suggests, these patients tend to eat only at night, often even getting up from their sleep to indulge in food. They usually do not eat through the day and they eat up half of their daily calorie intake by the night. They are normally obese or mildly obese and sometimes they are also suffering from insomnia. The patients often wake up at night to indulge in food as they feel a strong urge to eat at that hour of the day. The NES is not a very dangerous food disorder but it does have potential to cause much harm in the long run.
