Coronavirus Outbreak: Masks Too Harmful For Kids Below 2 Years, States Japan Pediatric Association
In the older days, the masks were worn by only the doctors and the medical staff when they used to operate on a patient and nobody used to wear masks in routine life. After some time as the pollution levels increased people who had breathing and allergy problems started wearing masks and then some diseases such as Swine flu prompted some people to wear masks. However, the times have changed now and almost every country in the world is making it compulsory for its citizens to wear masks whenever they step out of their houses.
1The coronavirus pandemic
The whole world is facing the lethal coronavirus disease which is contagious in nature and what makes it more worrisome is the fact that no vaccine has been developed till now for this disease. It has been two months almost that all the nations of the world are fighting a battle against this virus.
The coronavirus has infected more than 5.5 million people worldwide till now while the number of lives lost is around 346K. The disease is more harmful for the kids below the age of 10yrs and senior citizens above the age of 65 yrs so it is better to keep them home until and unless there is an emergency.
Many nations imposed complete lockdown as keeping the citizens inside the houses is the best way to save them from the virus considering the fact that the virus is contagious and lockdown helps in breaking the chain of virus transmission.
The situation may be a little under control in various countries but it won’t be wrong to say that it is far from getting normal and in such a scenario, the authorities are thinking of bringing the life back on track as lockdown can’t be a permanent solution.
