Health disorders caused by insufficient water intake
Water is the most important element of survival after oxygen, as it helps in the proper functioning of the body. Our bodies are 70% water, and we keep losing water every day from urination, bowel movements, and sweat so it is very important to keep replenishing yourself with water. On the average, an adult male should be drinking about 3 litres of water and an adult female should consume around 2.2 litres of water daily. If you are not drinking this much of water every day, you may be suffering from some levels of dehydration and because of that, you may sooner than later face these problems.
1 Premature Aging
Water helps in maintaining the elasticity of the skin. If you do not consume enough water, you will start getting wrinkles and face problems such as dry skin and chapped lips; these will add years to your face as well as your body. A newborn’s body has about 80% water; an adult has about 70%, and with age it will keep on decreasing. So if you want to stay younger-looking, then fill your glasses and just drink water.
2 Weight gain and obesity
Not drinking enough water causes us to experience hunger pangs, even if we’re not really hungry. On the contrary, drinking good amount of water makes you feel full. So basically, if you want to lose weight, drink loads of water, it will keep you full without adding calories.
If you are having constipation issues, then the first thing you need to check is whether you are drinking enough water or not. Water helps in the proper formation of stool and with inadequate quantity, you may have to keep dealing with this problem. If a person has motion issues, he really can’t function properly. Well, you know all this, right?
4 Cholesterol production
When you feel dehydrated, then your body has got that message that this person is too lazy to drink water. The body then senses the need to start cholesterol production to keep the cell membranes moist. So, if you do not want high cholesterol, hydrate yourself; drink water!
Your body needs enough water to sweat out 20 to 24 ounces of water which will keep the toxins out; if this does not happen, then your skin might start to get irritated and form rashes. Stop this from happening, and do yourself some favour. Get up and get that bottle of water.
6 Urinary Infections
Most of the toxins from our body get flushed through urine, and if water is insufficient to dilute the toxins, then they can start to erode the membranes of the urinary tract and cause infections. If your urine gets yellower than usual, then you should increase your water intake; it’s a signal from your body that the toxins need dilution.
7 High and low blood pressure
The volume of blood in our body is not sufficient to completely reach to every nook and cranny of our bodies. Water helps the blood to transport the oxygen to the body parts, as water is one part oxygen and two parts hydrogen.
So do yourself some favour, get up and drink as much water as you can right now. You certainly do not want all the above-written things to be happening to you. In fact, you can even eat water-rich foods and different beverages if you think you can’t keep drinking plain water the whole day. Let the water flow through your body, and let energy flow out from your body. By doing so, you will keep yourself away from various health disorders caused by insufficient water intake.
