1 Major reasons for puffy eyes
When you see swelling around your eyes, it is due to water retention under the skin, a condition known as edema. Since the skin tissue near the eyes are the thinnest and the swelling and the colorization of the surrounding area looks more significant.
Edema can be caused by various factors such as too much salt in diet, allergies, sinus problems, lack of sleep and tiredness, crying and aging. Some people are just born with this trait, as it might be congenital and puffy eyes run in the family.
Aging is a major cause of puffy eyes, since aging thins the membrane which is known as septum. This septum is responsible for keeping the fat back in the upper and lower eyelids. As we age, this membrane becomes thinner and thinner and fat begins to seep through and start filling the lower and upper eyelids.

Vitamin B contains a compound known as biotin, that is responsible for healthy and shiny skin. This helps in the skin tightening and disappearance of eye bags.
To use these ingredients, squeeze the juice out of a tomato slice and mix it with juice from half a lemon. Now take a cotton swab and dip it in the mixture and apply it on the bags under the eyes, avoid getting the mixture in eyes. Rinse the eyes after 15 minutes and apply a good quality under eye cream.
