2 Ingredients and their benefits
You will need the following ingredients for the face mask in the given quantities.
- French Green Clay – 1 table spoon
- Coconut/ Oat/Almond flour – 1 teaspoon
- Egg Yolk – 1 egg
- Water or Aloe Vera Juice – 3 teaspoons
The French Clay is full of minerals like zinc, silica and copper and rich in calcium. It detoxifies the skin of all the harmful things; the grainy texture of the clay tends to exfoliate the skin, removing the dead skin cells and it also tightens the skin surface.
Coconut flour acts as the gentle cleanser along with the grainy clay. Its antioxidant properties are well known and since it is made from fresh coconut, it is extremely beneficial to the skin. Eggs are rich in protein and are known to tighten the skin and prevent wrinkles.
Lastly water or aloe vera, used to bind the mixture can give added freshness to the whole mask and aloe vera can act as an antiseptic and it can even exfoliate the skin.
3 Some customizations to the mask
Along with the above mentioned things you can add any ingredient written below in order to make the mask better.
- 2 drops – essential geranium oil
- 2 drops – essential lavender oil
- 2 drops – chamomile oil
- 1 teaspoon – avocado, jojoba or olive oil
If you have normal skin, the geranium oil can act as a catalyst to keep the skin that way and help with acne, inflammation and give a fresh smell to the mask. Whereas, lavender oil is perfect for sensitive skin since it is excellent in dealing with acne and other types of outbreaks. Chamomile oil is added to add the moisturizer to the mask and will help in making the skin breathe.
