7 Foods That Trigger Migraines and Headaches Which You Should Avoid
Gluten is mostly found in foods like wheat, barley, triticale, and rye. It is a form of protein that some people may not be able to ingest. As such they are gluten-intolerant which makes it trigger migraines in them if they consume any of these as well as other gluten products.

- Aspartame (APM) and sucralose (E955): artificial sweeteners usually found in sports drinks, sugar-free products, soft drinks, and children’s vitamins.
- Monosodium glutamate (MSG – E621): a preservative added in processed foods, soy sauce, and canned vegetables.
- Nitrates and nitrites: found in sausages, ham, bacon, pepperoni, hot dogs.
